Management of Acne

Recent findings show potential avenues of approach for the treatment of acne via specific nutrients and topical intervention. Clients/patients should realize that multiple technologies will be needed and multiple sessions will often be required, for continuing improvement and the ability to enhance the quality and texture of the skin. In this class the Professional will learn how excess keratinization and poor desquamation, impaired enzyme activity and lipid peroxidation to name a few, will affect the process of Acne inflammation.



Morning study will emphasize:

  • Correcting the abnormal pattern of keratinization
  • Reducing the intensity of the inflammation
  • Reviewing the Inflammatory process in acne, lipid peroxidation
  • The role of Acne on the alterations in the permeability barrier
  • The importance of Essential Fatty acid
  • Oxidative stress on Acne skin and the role of anti-oxidants
  • The two primary hormones that cause cystic acne
  • Causes and approaches to treatment

Afternoon hands on demonstration:

The 4 basic principles of Acne treatment

  • Correct the abnormal pattern of keratinization in the follicle is the fundamental pathology present
  • Decrease the activity of the sebaceous glands
  • Inhibit or decrease bacterial growth in the follicle
  • Produce anti-inflammatory effect

Class Fee: $175.00

Inquire about accommodations in proximity and shuttle transport. Sign up for 3 or more classes to receive $50 towards another class of your choice. Bring another professional with you to attend any of our classes and receive a $20 discount. Candidate will be required to provide 72 hours cancellation notice prior to the class for a refund or to be applied to another class of their choice within 6 months.
