Know the chemistry behind your products. The most beneficial formulations are based on understanding the structure and function of the skin. Indeed, for a cosmetic to be effective, it should contain a number of active ingredients that match the requirements of the skin. Your client looks to you for advice and you must be able to acknowledge the right product that will make a difference in the appearance of his or her skin. Make sure the company manufacturing the products you offer is dedicated to supporting the aesthetician through education. Offer a skin care product line with a methodology and philosophy that allows you creativity in its recommendation and application and sets you apart from the typical skin care product lines. keep your interest and your client's interest to achieve results within the determined treatment time. The client puts her trust in you the aesthetician, who must honor that trust with product knowledge and results.


Morning study will emphasize:
  • The future of cosmetics
  • Cosmetic delivery and skin permeation
  • Get the right Topical for your skin
  • Interaction of cosmeceuticals with biological mechanisms that occur in aging skin
  • Learn about Stabilized Active Ingredients; Anti-oxidants, Growth Factors, Hyaluronic Acid, Spin trap, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Ceramides and Peptides
  • Ingredients knowledge savvy
  • The role of Vitamins in cosmetics

Afternoon hands on demonstration:
  • Practical cosmetic application in a treatment setting
  • Utilization of water-soluble and oil-soluble ingredients
  • Action of cosmetic ingredient in regards to skin types
  • Achieving results
  • After care application
  • Practical test

Class Fee: 1 Day $175.00

 Inquire about accommodations in proximity and shuttle transport. Sign up for 3 or more classes to receive $50 towards another class of your choice. Bring another professional with you to attend any of our classes and receive a $20 discount. Candidate will be required to provide 72 hours cancellation notice prior to the class for a refund or to be applied to another class of their choice within 6 months.
